This collection of songs is a celebration, not only of my life growing up in and around the Potteries but also of its people. Those whose families have resided here for generations, those who left to seek fortune elsewhere taking something of Staffordshire with them (probably oatcakes) and not least those who arrived from afar bringing fresh ways to enrich our heritage. The tales are funny, sad, light and dark but always about the ordinary folk who often slip through the cracks of history
